2 Factor Authentication as a means of securing your data

This is where there is a second means of verifying your identity in order to login. This verification usually involves sending a code to a phone number or involves an email address.

There are many ways that your passwords can be stolen, including using the same password on more than one site, clicking on links that are sent to you in emails or from downloading software from the internet. However, even if this does happen you could protect yourself and your business from your accounts being breached by having two-factor authentication set up.

Recent stats show that 99.9% of the accounts breached on Microsoft Azure platform were because they did not have 2 factor authentications enabled.
